About Dr. Oh
Dr. Jennifer J. Oh, PsyD., MSW
Psychotherapy starts with our relationship, you and me. Here’s a little bit about me, to start:
I’m a first-generation immigrant, Korean-American, female. I am bilingual insofar as I am able to effectively communicate conversationally in the Korean language.
Like so many immigrant, first-generation college students, I traversed a unique and singular route to get here: I graduated from the University of Michigan with my BA, became a teacher and educator coach in New York City, and realized my goal and life-dream to be a psychologist while pursing my master’s in social work at the University of Georgia in Athens. I completed my clinical doctoral internship at Johns Hopkins University and a postdoctoral fellowship at a private practice in Maryland where I furthered both therapy and psychological assessment training with a focus in conducting comprehensive ADHD evaluations.
One of the most important instruments in the therapeutic session is the psychologist—the person within, and the experience, knowledge and skill sets they offer. I pride myself in my personal journey and my ongoing desire to pursue relevant training to constantly improve my ability to serve my clients.
